Poori is a popular Indian breakfast recipe. Poori or puri is a deep fried Indian flat bread. Poori recipe using wheat flour is explained with step by step pictures. Pooris prepared using wheat flour are healthier as compared to maida pooris.

Ingredients:
Kriti Atta -- 2 Cups
Soaked Urad Dal - 1 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Jeera - 2 tsp
Green Chillies - 2
Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Kasuri Methi - 2 tbsp
Saunf powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Ajwain Seeds - 2 tsp
Oil - 1/4 cup + for frying
Water - As needed
Method :
Take the soaked urad dal, jeera, green chillies in a mixer jar and grind them into a coarse paste, adding a little water.
Take the atta in a bowl, add all the spices, salt, 1/4 cup oil and the urad dal paste.
Adding a little bit of water, make a firm dough. Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes.
Make small balls from this dough and roll them into pooris.
Heat the oil in a kadai and fry the pooris one by one until they puff up.
