Gujarat has many regional avatars of Dhokla, with Dhokla flour readily available at most flour mills in our neighbourhood we have forgotten the ratios of rice to dals (unless we have a family elder to guide us). Note that there are numerous ways to it, each family or region has its ratio.
Serves : 3-4 People
Cooking time : 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup Kriti Atta
½ cup Methi Chopped
¼ cup Coriander Chopped
¼ cup Onion Chopped
1 tsp Garlic Chopped
1 Green chilli
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Dry mango powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
½ tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Oil
½ cup Water
Method :
In a bowl add in all the ingredients and make a dough and keep it aside for 10 mins
Take the Steamer plate and grease it with oil
Make small round shapes of the dough and using your index finger make an indent in the center
Place it on the steamer plate and steam it for 10 mins and serve.
